www.hightideseaweed.co.uk hereinafter referred to as "the website" is owned and run by High Tide Seaweed Ltd, trading as 'High Tide Seaweed'. When we refer to "we", "us", or "our" we are referring to High Tide Seaweed Ltd. High Tide Seaweed is a Limited company registered in England and Wales. By accessing and using our website www.hightideseaweed.co.uk and purchasing any products or signing up to our mailing list from this website you represent, acknowledge and agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website or purchase any products.

5.b We require contact information (such as your full name, a valid and current email address, and your preferred delivery address) on our checkout page. The information you supply on the checkout page will be used to contact you concerning the status of an order or to answer your questions.

 

5.c If you sign up to our mailing list, we also require contact information such as a valid and current email address. Unless you choose to opt out, it will be used to send you our email updates. You may choose to opt out of emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe in the emails.


 

6.a Your Use of the Website 

By using our website, you agree not to upload, email, or transmit any online material that may damage or interrupt the proper functioning of any software, hardware or equipment linked to this website, such as computer viruses or computer code. Additionally, you agree to abide by the policies and regulations of this website and any networks connected to it. You also agree not to use the website for any unlawful, immoral or harmful purposes, or in any manner that may harm our reputation.

 

6.b  We are not responsible for your computer systems technical specifications in terms of compatibility to use the website.

 

6.c We reserve the right to restrict access to certain features of the website, or the entire website, to you with or without notice to you. 6.d Though we aim to keep general information on seaweed, sustainability and nutrition on our website current and up-to-date, we accept no liability for any incorrect information. Please let us know at hightideseaweed@gmail.com if you do notice anything incorrect.


 

7.a Website Content

The content of this website belongs to us and is our property. You acknowledge and agree not to use any content, including; text, images, videos, photos, branding or logos from our website (without prior written consent) in any such capacity; including modification, reproduction and copying of any of our content or materials.

 

7.b We maintain the right to ask you to remove a link to our website on another page, if we so wish. 

 

7.c From time to time, we may use external links on our website. External links are clickable text or images links to other websites. We look to include only quality, safe and relevant external links. You click on an external link at your own risk and we cannot be held liable for any damages or implications caused by visiting any external links mentioned. Should we link to other websites from our website, you accept that we take no responsibility for the privacy policies, content or operations set forth by those linked websites. 


 

8.a Order Processing and Payment

We require complete information from you when purchasing a product or paying for a workshop in the checkout process. If a product is out of stock, the website will be updated. Likewise, if the order is a pre-order, this will be clearly noted on our website and during the check-out process and you accept that the product will be delivered around the date shown. We process payments through secure payment systems. Our product prices do not include delivery. Additional delivery charges will be noted at the checkout. 

 

8.b Our product availability and pricing may be influenced by seasonal variations in supply levels and supply prices. We retain the right to modify the fees for our services or products at our discretion. We commit to informing you of any fee changes at least 30 days in advance.

 

8.c You can place orders online at your convenience. The website provides a chance to review and make corrections to your order before submission. By submitting the order, you affirm that any necessary corrections have been made. A final review opportunity is presented before your order is finalised and submitted.

 

8.d An order is not considered accepted until our website displays an order confirmation message.

 

8.e You hereby authorise us to charge the full purchase price for any products purchased by you through the website and the delivery charges or any taxes due as more fully set forth on the checkout page on the website to the payment method and payment account you provide in your order of the products at the Checkout.


 

9.a Free or Discounted Offers

Free or discounted offers are currently unavailable. Though this may change in the future as our company expands. You will therefore be charged the full price for boxes. 


 

10.a Delivery and Returns   

Our delivery service is currently limited to addresses within the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland), excluding PO Box addresses and BFPO addresses.

 

10.b Boxes are dispatched by local postal services, and we do not obtain proof of delivery. The actual delivery times may vary depending on factors such as our stock availability, your delivery address, the timing of your selection, and circumstances affecting the postal service. We maintain the right to employ alternative delivery methods without notifying you. We can't guarantee delivery on a specific day and won't be held liable for such delays beyond our control. 

 

10.c We are not liable for delays beyond our control related to box delivery. Please report all lost or undelivered boxes online within 7 days of the expected delivery date.

 

10.d Should your box not fit through your letterbox and/or you're not at home or you are unavailable during the delivery window, your postie will leave a card indicating collection or redelivery details. The postal service will hold the box for 18 days before returning it to us. It's imperative that you contact them promptly for receipt. Given the perishable nature of our products, failure to adhere to this process means we cannot offer a refund or replacement for the box/products. 

 

10.e If you change your address post placing an order, please update us by emailing hightideseaweed@gmail.com promptly. We won't refund or credit boxes sent to the wrong location.

 

10.f Should the postal service be too unreliable, in our sole opinion, we maintain the right to cancel your order.

 

10.g If you're dissatisfied with any of our products or services, please contact us at hightideseaweed@gmail.com. We may request the return of faulty goods for inspection. If the fault is confirmed, a full refund will be issued. Due to the perishable nature of our products, refund requests may not always be accepted.


 

11.a Cancellation

You can cancel a box purchase within 24 hours of placing an order. Requests outside this timeframe may be denied due to processing and delivery services and the perishable nature of our products. 

 

11.b Cancellation must be done by contacting us on hightideseaweed@gmail.com, and you're responsible for ensuring timely transmission and receipt by us.

 

11.c Termination or restriction of your use of any of our services or products may be immediate and without notice if we believe you're in breach of any obligation under these Terms and Conditions. You hereby acknowledge and accept this. 

 

11.d Please note that under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you don't have the right to cancel an order, due to the perishable nature of our products


 

12.a Product Information 

High Tide Seaweed provides snack bars available in packs of 3 or 12. For comprehensive product information, including a detailed list of ingredients and nutritional content, please refer to our website (shop page, FAQ page). Additionally, we explicitly state whether a product includes any of the following ingredients or substances that might trigger allergies or intolerances:

  • Cereals containing gluten and gluten products

  • Fish/crustaceans/molluscs

  • Sesame

  • Celery 

  • Mustard 

  • Nuts

  • Peanuts 

  • Soya 

  • Sulphur dioxide 

  • Milk/lactose

  • Eggs 

 

12.b Due to our manufacturing processes, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of the listed allergens above in our products. Operating within a shared kitchen/factory introduces the potential risk of allergen contamination. While we make every effort to minimise this risk, we cannot assure its complete absence. In the interest of full transparency, safety, and informed decision-making, we provide a list of potential cross-contamination allergens as well as known allergens in our products. It is your responsibility, using the information provided, to determine whether a product is safe for consumption based on your known allergens. We are not liable for any harm resulting from the consumption of our products.

 

12.c Detailed nutritional information for each product is available on our website, accessible through each product's dedicated page. Additionally, your box and individual products inner wrapping will include a label presenting this information for the products you've selected.

 

12.d High Tide Seaweed bears no responsibility for any direct or indirect reactions resulting from the consumption of our products.  


 

13.a Liability

High Tide Seaweed is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from using our website, signing up to our mailing list, purchasing and consuming our products and/or attending our workshops and events.

 

13.b Our liability clause and these Terms and Conditions do not seek to exclude or limit our responsibility for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, breach of any obligations implied by relevant acts, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited as a matter of law.

 

13.c Business losses are not within the scope of our liability. Our responsibility for losses is constrained to the purchase price of the products and foreseeable losses. It's important to note that this does not impact your statutory rights. For additional details, reach out to your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice.

 

13.d We won't be liable for lack of performance, unavailability or failure of this website or our services, or any failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions due to causes beyond our control.


 

14.1 Dispute resolution

For all disputes, you must first give us an opportunity to resolve the dispute. Commence this process by mailing written notification to us at Premier House 123 Duckmoor Road, Ashton, Bristol, England, BS3 2BJ. If we don't resolve the dispute within 45 days, you may pursue it in arbitration.
